Porsche Boxster is lower and longer, with wider tracks and larger wheels enhancing the driving performances. The proportions are defined by the extended wheelbase, the windscreen which is shifted forward, the shorter overhangs and 18- and 19-inch diameter wheels with larger rolling circumference. The new design elements include the sculpted flanks with the distinctive air intakes, the redesigned tail lights visually connected by the thin blade of the rear spoiler, and the front air openings, increased in size and moved towards the sides of the car.Styling is marked by precise lines and razor-sharp sculpted edges. They emphasise the car's low, extended silhouette with the windscreen shifted forward by approx. 100 millimetres and a roof line that reaches far back. In 2009 we saw a small connection to Carrera GT styling in the Cayman's new blacked out headlights.
